We are proud to announce our involvement alongside an amazing company called Buy 1 Give 1. They are a global business giving initiative that is creating a world that is full of giving. They have over 800 projects around the world that are benefiting from the work they do and have helped to create over 100 million impacts all over the world

Who are B1G1?

They were formed in 2007 when a group of small business owners got together and asked  “What would happen if we all gave back just by doing the things we do every day?” It was a question that deeply inspired them.

Three years and a great undertaking later, they were able to design the systems and processes necessary to make it work, and their dream is now a reality. The initiative was originally called Buy 1 Give 1, backed by the idea that companies would make a giving impact with each designated business transaction. Today, the BIG1 initiative has more than 2,100businesses from around the world—each making significant impacts every day.

B1G1 is a social enterprise and non-profit organization with a mission to create a world full of giving. Unlike conventional giving models, B1G1 helps small- and medium-sized businesses achieve more social impact by embedding giving activities into everyday business operations and creating unique giving stories. Every business transaction (and as a result, the business’ day-to-day activity) can impact lives for as little as just one cent.

What is an Impact

An impact in this case can mean many things depending the charity chosen. For instance, when we complete some work at a School, we will then donate a number of bricks to help to build a brand new School in a underprivileged country. So just by having some improvements done to your School, you would be helping to educate a child that without your help, may never have had a chance of a decent future.

In September 2017, our MD, Gareth Williams,  decided to kick start our new venture by Cycling from Yosemite to San Francisco.

Gareth’s American Adventure & the Impacts it has made

Gareth wanted to make this bicycle ride matter and his success will go to help so many people in the poorer countries of this world. The completion of his 6 day journey, which involved 9 stages will aid the following campaigns:

Stage 1: 1,825 days access to clean drinking water for a person in Africa

Stage 2: 730 days access to clean drinking water in Ethiopia

Stage 3: 500 daily doses of vitamin supplements to help stop a child losing its sight

Stage 4: 250 days of medical support to nursery school children

Stage 5: 36 days of shelter to underprivileged people in India

Stage 6: 125 daily doses of vitamin supplements to children in need

Stage 7: 167 learning tools to nursery school children in Ethiopia

Stage 8: 50 bricks toward building houses for families in need in India

And finally, stage 9 : 42 days worth of school maintenance for children in Kenya

We are sure you will agree that this will make a change to so many peoples lives. And this is just the beginning.
