Construction Linx’s MD ran The 2017 London Marathon in 6hrs and 13 minutes and raised £2869.19 inspired by his six-year-old neighbour Lewis Crossley’s battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia – TCell.
Gareth Williams, MD at Construction Linx, a construction and property maintenance company in Crewe, is no stranger to the London Marathon having ran the epic course in 2015 and this time he beat his fundraising target and race time. The £2869.19 he has raised will go to Leukaemia CARE, to help support people facing blood cancer.
He said: “I was very lucky to have my place at the London marathon as it is so hard to get a place and even though it is a gruelling event I knew that I was doing it for a fantastic cause Leukaemia CARE and it was great to see the team at Leukaemia CARE on the roadside cheering me on. I also had great support from all the team at Construction Linx including clients and suppliers and it was great to beat my target of £2100.”
